About Indian Dairy Association (TAMIL NADU)
Established in 1948, the Indian Dairy Association (IDA) is India’s apex dairy industry body, uniting cooperatives, private dairies, scientists, and policymakers to advance dairy development nationwide. Its Tamil Nadu State Chapter, headquartered at Madras Veterinary College in Chennai, operates independently under IDA’s South Zone, organizing conferences, workshops, and training programs to promote innovation in dairy technology, quality, and entrepreneurship. Actively engaging with academia, government agencies like Aavin, and institutions such as TANUVAS, the chapter fosters education, research, and industry networking, making it a vital hub for professionals committed to dairy excellence in Tamil Nadu.
